We are seeking a Transportation Planner. The Planner will perform tracking, shipping processes and delivery assurance systems. Also implements process improvements to ensure on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily transportation planning consolidation and building of outbound shipments via TMS to ensure on-time delivery at lowest reasonable cost.
  
• Tendering and acceptance of all shipments daily via contracted Truckload, Intermodal, LTL, Small Parcel, and Flatbed transportation providers.
  
• Manage daily hot requests to ensure prioritized for planning and transmitted to warehouse to ensure on-time delivery.
  
• Set delivery appointments to ensure earliest possible delivery based on DC capacity and provider transit time.
  
• Manage timely and accurate communications (Email, Phone, etc.) to internal and external customers.
  
• Provide daily shipment plan to Distribution Centers based on forecast and capability.
  
• Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities that reduce delivered cost while improving on-time delivery.
  
• Provide EOD status report to leadership measuring daily performance as well as opportunities for improvement.
  
  
  Required Qualifications
  
  • High School Diploma or GED.
    
  • 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or planning role.
    
    
    Preferred Qualifications
    
    • Experience working directly with Transportation Providers.
      
    • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc).
      
    • Bachelor's Degree.
      
    • Passion for servicing customers. Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, go above and beyond to exceed their expectations.
      
    • Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset.
      
    • Ability to think outside the box, innovate, take risks and implement progressive, sustainable solutions.
      
    • Strong ability to build diverse, cross functional project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a dynamic, changing environment.
      
    • Skills with Microsoft Office Excel, Project, Word and PowerPoint.
