InformationThe Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health was
formally created in 2012 and was named in recognition of a
transformative gift by the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation. With
strong connections to the IU School of Medicine and other health
science schools on the IU Indianapolis campus, the School of Public
Health is poised to be a catalyst to help build a collaborative
approach to improved public health in Indiana. The School of Public
Health currently serves more than 700 students, employs over 40
full-time staff and is home to over 50 full-time faculty within the
departments of Epidemiology, Community and Global Health, Health
Policy and Management, and Biostatistics and Health Data Science.

Summary
- Consults and works with faculty, staff, and/or student
researchers in conducting quantitative and qualitative research
focused on policy impact(s)
- Consults on research design and performs statistical analysis;
interprets data and makes standard recommendations for
clients.
- Conducts various project research and manages aspects of
project execution (may include design, methodology, data
collection, analysis and report preparation).
- Provides day-to-day general project management such as
communicating project updates to staff and stakeholders and
developing any necessary documentation.
- Participates in authoring policy-relevant publications and
documents with staff and/or faculty; helps develop theories and
empirical applications publishable in external journals, as
appropriate.
- Act as point of contact for clients (client management) for
policy research; identifies new clients and cultivates
relationships with potential funders through business development
plan(s) and responses to RFP (requests for proposals); develops new
project ideas, presents concept proposals to clients/potential
clients and develops scope of work to address problems and help
facilitate understanding and/or proposed changes.
- Drafts and disseminates research study output (such as progress
reports, professional presentations, posters, abstracts, technical
reports, journal articles, and/or funding
proposals).QualificationsCombinations of related education and

EDUCATIONRequired
- Bachelor's degree preferably in public health, public policy,
business administration, or related fieldPreferred
- Master's degree preferably in public health, public policy,
business administration, or related fieldWORK EXPERIENCERequired
- 1 year of research project management, research, or related

Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively
communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office

on university policy and business needs.Advertised Salary$50,000 -
