InformationThe Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at
Indiana University and IU Health Physicians is comprised of over
250 individuals working together to achieve success in fulfilling
the tripartite mission.Job Summary
- Maintains an organized filing system in accordance with
departmental policy for all pathology slides.
- Files and records slide in the correct location.
- Pulls records and slides from storage as requested.
- Returns records and slides to storage when received back.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Assists with other clerical functions and duties as
assigned.
- Participates in a larger project to organize slide and block
materials.QualificationsEDUCATIONRequired
- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
SKILLSRequired
- Proficient communication skills.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment.
- Ability to file in numeric order.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.Working Conditions / DemandsThis
role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate
a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The
position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving
around an office environment and the campus. The person in this
role must be able to perform the essential functions with or

- Students will assist with medical research to advance medical
